Good Lehi Fishing Spot – Oak Hollow Largemouth Bass
This Lehi fishing spot turned out to be a good little place for largemouth bass and bluegill. I've fished here in Lehi on oak hollow in the past years agone, and didn't discover much success. It'due south full of grass, and it looks like now at that place is a nice population of bluegills and largemouth bass. My friend @reelingrainbow turned me onto it. Here are the baits, a map, and the fishing weather I experienced to assistance you lot take hold of a few fish out of this place. In addition, some of the good fishing I was able to film, then y'all can get a personal glimpse of what information technology's like.
Conditions
The conditions were overnice for fishing this place in Lehi. This trip transpired on a Thursday forenoon before work in the commencement calendar week of June. Here's what it was like for me. If you find yourself in similar conditions, I've oft institute the same types of baits and techniques piece of work across a lot of different places.
Atmospheric condition
Air Temperature High 80's. Partly Cloudy Skies
Water Clarity
Stained. Visbility 4-5 feet.
Water Temperature
64 – 67 degrees.
Current of air
0 – four mph. Flat Calm all morning time.
Best Baits
I tried quite a few different styles of baits on this spot, but only two seemed to produce consistently. The grass was thick and deep, then it cut a lot of other options out of the mix. The following 2 baits seemed to work effectually the grass well, and drew a lot of strikes. Here'south the details of the baits, and how to utilise them to help you catch fish at this place in Lehi.
Megabass Pop X
The Megabass Popular-x was a rockstar bait for catching bass out of this spot. This little bait caught the majority of the fish. It worked best in the early on mornining low light weather. The key was to cast information technology along the bank on the edge of the cover, and just slowly pop information technology back. The pop-x is really calorie-free, and works all-time on a spinning rod and reel fix. It also helped to apply Floating braided line to keep your line from sinking down into the gunk.
Zoom Fluke
The Baby Bass Zoom Fluke likewise caught some fish. This bait worked when the sunday came out, and the fish weren't chasing every bit much. When you lot rig a zoom fluke weigthless texas fashion with a 4/0 hook, you keep your bait make clean from the shallow grass. This weightless style rigging with this lighter bait helps yous to become into those tough to attain spots, and keeps your bait looking natural. This is a light set upward and works best on a spinning rod and reel. Check out other swell rigging options for the fluke in my best fluke rigs post. This is a great bait for swimming fishing in the summertime.

Boosted Fishing Insights
Honestly, there were a lot more bluegills in the swimming than largemouth bass from what I saw in here. I caught about a dozen bass in a few hours of fishing this spot. The majority of the fish I defenseless were small. Although, I did see a couple bigger belatedly spawning largemouth bass. There was a grouping of iii big largemouth probably in the 3.5 – 4.5 pound class fighting over a spawning spot I couldn't become to bite. All the fish were really shallow on the inside between the thick grass and the banking company. I spoke to a local, who was on the bank fishing. He said, "The biggest I've caught out of hither was iii.5 pounds." It actually is a cool fiddling urban spot worth your time to endeavor your luck.
